Apr. 01, 2024 We are pleased to announce the renewal of the website of the Kiwanis International Japan Region. From now on, we will be providing information mainly on Kiwanis Dolls.
2024/02/23 Kagoshima Club Kiwanis Doll Making Session in Shibushi On February 23, 2024, the Kagoshima Kiwanis Club held a Kiwanis doll making session with members of the "JACO Club" in cooperation with the Board of Education of Shibushi City, Kagoshima Prefecture, as its first project in the Osumi area of Kagoshima Prefecture. We hope that doll making will spread in the future as a base in Osumi, and that we will be able to present the dolls to various medical institutions. The participants skillfully made Kiwanis dolls using needles and sewing machines. (Toshihiko Dooka, Public Relations Committee member)
2024/01/20-Kagoshima-Gunma Club "Capsule Art The Kiwanis Club of Kagoshima and the Kiwanis Club of Gunma held the "Nanden Kanden Tsukuru Miga Capsule Art" on January 20, 2024 at Nifu Gakuen in Kagoshima City as their first joint project after the sister city agreement. The project was planned and produced by Gunma Kiwanis Club member Flashlight Co. This is a dream project in which children create their favorite artworks by reusing empty "capsule toys," the empty containers of "Gacha Gacha" machines found in game arcades and shopping centers. Children enthusiastically created their favorite animals and characters. These "capsule toys" are usually discarded, but by reusing them for capsule art, we can contribute to the green generation. We hope that this kind of project will continue to grow and that children will enjoy learning. (Toshihiko Dooka, Public Relations Committee member)
2024/03/04 Kiwanis Dolls Presented to Kagoshima University Hospital We received a letter of appreciation from Dr. Sakamoto, Director of Kagoshima University Hospital, who expressed his appreciation and encouragement for the hospitalized patients and families of small children. We hope that the Kiwanis doll power will help them get well as soon as possible. (Toshihiko Dooka, Public Relations Committee member)
